I REALLY WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I PURCHASED THIS ITEM. IT DEF. DOES NOT FIT THE GAZEBO THAT I PURCHASED FROM LOWES AND IT ARRIVED 2 DAYS BEFORE MY GARDEN WEDDING AND EVERYTHING WAS RUINED ALL BECAUSE THIS ITEM IS PLACED ONLINE FOR SALE AS "UNIVERSAL 10 X 10"

 "Does not fit 2 Tier Gazebo from Lowes without significant modification." 2009-06-18

The good - Product seems to be stiched well, especially on the corners and tip inserts.



The neutral - The facbric does not seem any thicker than the original - Possibly slightly lighter, but not by much. Product still provides shade and shelter from light rain.



The BAD - The bottom tier fits 'OK', but is not at tight as original. Placement of drain grommets and slightly looser fit contribute to pooling of even light rain. Velcro tabs on outer perimiter should be slightly longer and the ones on the upper struts do not need to be as long as they are.

Top tier is way too large and is for much steeper pitch.



Result- I was able to modify to salvage by restiching the top tier panels and modifying the upper gazebo extension arms by 1 3/4 inches each. Unless you are looking to waste shipping time, money you need to be prepared for a 'not for everyone' modification of materials (requiring a sewing machine, aluminum 'U' chanel, patience and creativity).



I knew this was likely when I purchased (because of these reviews) and undertook this knowingly as it was a better alternative than starting from scratch, but still have to give only one star for the lack of 'universal' fit and mischaracterization of thickness (even if the technical weight that most people will not relate to is acccurate) which will likely disappoint all purchasers, but also seems to be the one that most all resellers are selling for the 10x10 gazebo, see also garden winds website.

Canopy did not even last a year. Fabric pulled away from velcro tabs that you use to attach to canopy frame and ripped about 15 holes in top.This also did not happen during a storm. It was one or two at a time over a period of months. Also the only way this top is 30% thicker fabric than other tops is if the other ones are made of tissue paper.
